MY BEST GUY

If you follow my blog, you'll remember my friend Andrew. For those of you who don't, Andrew is my best friend, Erin's baby. He was born without the gift of sight. He has become one of my most favorite subjects to photograph. This is his three month session.

It's awesome what Andrew has accomplished and although the doctors say he does not see light, when I photographed him he would constantly turn his head toward the windows or wherever the light was coming from.

The things in his eyes are called spacers. These help his eye sockets form.

It's amazing, the response I've gotten to Andrew's blog posts. I love it! He is doing quite well! Just like any three month old baby, he's working on holding his head up, making girgling sounds and loving the soft voice of him mom.

LEARNING FROM THE BEST

Nebraska Photographer of the Year, Jeff Bauman of Bauman Photography put on a workshop today for photographers of PPN. About 10 of us attended and learned about how Jeff and Nikki shoot their weddings. I learned a lot and had a great time with everyone!

April 26th was a wet and rainy day but luckily we were able to shoot off several pictures outside before the wedding! Plus, the rain made for a fantastic sunset that night. Congratulations, you three! And thanks for making me a part of your special day!

A LITTLE BREAK

DREW & JAMIE GET HITCHED!

Around here wedding season is in full swing which usually means tulips budding, April showers, and mild weather. Not at all the case today! It's April 12 and it's snowing! But Jamie and Drew didn't let it bother them a bit, in fact Jamie said they'd laugh about it one day! Everything about their day was wonderful, especially the snow! Congratulations guys!
